Artificial intelligence (AI) is key to solving society’s grand challenges and will fundamentally change the way we live and work. It is also a global “game changer” that has become a major driver of innovation, future growth and competitiveness.
Inria, the French national research institute for digital science and technology, and DFKI, the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, are two of the world’s largest nonprofit research institutes active in this field. The two institutes have teamed up to address the challenges relating to the foundations and the applications of modern AI, including machine learning, knowledge management, speech and language processing, computer vision, robotics, healthcare, mobility, industry 4.0, and security.
After two successful workshops in 2020 and 2021, the third Inria – DFKI Workshop on AI to be held in Bordeaux in October 2022 will be yet another milestone in that direction. It will bring together researchers, students and engineers from all Inria and DFKI research centres to establish concrete collaborations. It will also feature a set of presentations illustrating research in AI within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Research Network in AI (R3IA).
